Good Afternoon
Meighen,
The flooring has a 1 year warranty
for work and materials, which this condo unit is past. Therefore there is no
warranty. Also the original homeowner had never entered this issue on the PDI,
the 30 day Tarion Form, nor the 1 Year Tarion form so Tarion deems this
not to be a warrantable issue. Check your humidity levels within the condo, this
greatly affects hardwood floors.
Regarding noise related issues
from adjacent units, you can call Bayshore Property Management: Maria @
705-722-3700 ext.233.
Sincerely,
Ramona

Two Problems
Good afternoon
I am
the new owner (as of June 30) of Unit 1,
The
laminate flooring in the living room and hallway creaks like an old house.
Also, in a couple of areas in the hallway the boards do not lay competely
flat.
I'm wondering if there's some way that the wall adjoining
Unit 2 can be reinforced to provide more sound-proofing. I recently
moved my bedroom from that end room to the middle room because of noise. I
know when the people in Unit 2 have their TV on at night; I know when they're
making love; I know when they're having an argument. One morning I
happened to be awake (3:30 or 4:30, can't remember) and I could hear them just
talking. One could say they should be asked to turn down their TV, but are
they expected to remember when they're making out or having an argument that I
can hear them? Another reason for moving to the middle room is the noise
from water coming down the pipes behind the wall when someone in the units above
flush the toilet.
Sometimes I hear what sounds like dripping coming
from behind the half bathroom wall - doesn't last long, maybe it's nothing to be
concerned about. Maybe it's just pipes doing what they do. I don't
know, so I mention it.
Thanks.
Brenda
