Hi Joanna,

 

I spoke with Homeowner “Carlos Manzano” and reassured him that our service man Gary would be at 19 Cheltenham Unit 8 on Thurs Jan 13th/11 in the a.m. to assess the window. I informed him we may not be able to do the repairs required the same day but we would have a permanent solution.  He was both pleased and relieved that we would handle this issue. I will email you on Fri Jan.14th/11 with Gary’s comments, and the direction we are taking with the repairs.

We are in the process of booking our service man in to evaluate the issue. He will see if we need to order a new window. If a new window is needed, it could take a couple of months. I will keep you in the loop.

We have spoken with this owner already today & booked an appointment. We have no record of window complaints or repairs at this unit prior to his call today. The owner tells us your man has been out a couple of times. Don't worry about this; we will take care of it.

Hi Wendy,

 

We just had a call from an upset owner of unit 8 at 19 Cheltenham about a window in his unit. Apparently there is a history with this unit and window and he says there was a problem from the beginning and one window has been replaced. Our maintenance guy went there to have a look and says that the window is not sealed properly.

 

The owner Carlos is very upset as his tenants are calling him about the problem and their increased gas bills. Can you please look into it as soon as you can. Although this is getting close to three years and the warranty on windows is two but since this was reported before I would assume it will be covered.

 

For now our maintenance guy will seal it with plastic from the inside to eliminate the huge draft.
