The step is now on an angle sloping down to the north which makes it dangerous. My best guess would be due to uneven settling however I am not the expert simply don't want an injury.

Regarding the eaves they appear to be slanting down and there appears to be a gap and the water now becoming ice forms on the step.

Thank you for your reply. We will not have Service available during the month of Dec. & Jan 2013. However I may have a Sat. available in Dec.; as of yet I do not know which date. You will be at the top of my list once I know the date.

 

 I will have the step looked at tomorrow by Gary so I can be sure what you are referring to & send the right trade. The eaves trough pouring water over the steps generally is caused by on of two things. Are the eaves slanted down in that corner or uneven? The other reason it can be  plugged or blocked by debris such as leaves, birds or squirrels leaving nesting material in the trough which causes the rain water to flow over the edge of the trough rather than to the down spout.  Please check your eaves trough to be sure this is not the issue.

 

 I had thought Gary painted the door on May 25/12. You are right it is too cold to paint the exterior of the door so it will have to wait until spring 2013.

As per always it is difficult as I work very long hours. At this point I have no available days untill the week of dec 16-22 and until I see my schedule can't confirm a day.

The eavestrough and step could be resolved without my being there as there does not need to be access to the home. Can those be dealt with in that way.

Paint will be more problematic as the door can't be left open as it is too cold now.
