When I had agreed to sign the purchase agreement with Pratt Homes and was discussing the kitchen with Sue, I had advised her that I wished to have a range top microwave installed in the kitchen. I inquired a couple of times whether the size of most range top microwaves were standard. While I was at the sales home, we measured the gap for the microwave to confirm that it was in fact a standard size. Sue advised me that I could have a plug installed above the stove to accommodate a microwave. when selecting the location of the electrical outlets, we included this location with the clear understanding that I would have an above the range microwave. She also advised me that I should discuss this with the design consultant. When I went to the design centre I also discussed having an above range microwave installed. I again inquired whether the gap was a standard size, and we also discussed whether I would have the same size handles on the doors above the range even though the cabinets would be smaller. When I did my walk through with you I asked again about why the hood was there as I was installing an above the range microwave. You advised me that it had to be there to pass the code and that it could be removed to install the microwave, and that the plug was specifically installed for that reason. I was very explicit from the beginning that I was going to install a microwave. I have been to sears and home depot and there is not a microwave that would fit in the current gap with ample space from range to microwave, as the cupboards are too long. When I asked service to fix the cupboard size they advised me that I didn't specifically request them. This information is incorrect. I specifically asked Sue, yourself and the design specialist to leave ample room for a standard size microwave. I have been prudent in outlining that request, and as such the cupboards should be replaced to accommodate a microwave as we agreed. Please advise. Sincerely yours, Renee Rerup Sent from my iPad=
