Hi Ramona,

Please follow up & find out what went wrong here. Why did Cartier book an appointment with Mr. Saunders and then not show up? Please let Mr. Saunders & me know what happened.

Thanks,

Wendy

Well, here we go. Cartier phoned earlier in the week to set up a time to come in to do the required adjustments. Friday between the hours of 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm were the narrowest window they could give me. I waited around all afternoon on Friday for the Cartier person to arrive, and they didn’t. No phone call – nothing. I am totally P O’d. I have a number of things that I could have been doing including looking after my wife’s very elderly parents, but I couldn’t, because Cartier told me someone would be around between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00 pm.

Please do whatever is necessary to ensure that this never happens again.

Thanks

Phil

Good Morning Phil,

It was a pleasure to drop by yesterday and I completely LOVE your backsplash.

I agree that you should have the missing valance piece if other units have it and cannot believe I did not notice yesterday.

I take responsibility for not suggesting a 5th light bar for above the sink but until the units were built it is often hard to know where additional light is required. I was also careful to sell only the light bars that were necessary since they are $120.00 per bar. Please forgive this oversight.

I have spoken to Ramona in service and requested that a valance piece be made and installed this Friday when they come to adjust your cupboards.

According to service, there was 3 different installers from Cartier Kitchens and not every unit that required valances received one above the sink. No consistency there!

I have overheard the call Ramona made to Cartier Kitchens with the request for the missing valance.

Let me know if it all works out.

Have a good day!

Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for taking the time to come and see how beautiful our kitchen back splash turned out. It really is stunning. I did make the suggestion that for future condo’s, customers have the opportunity to have a light installed directly over the sink for better lighting when doing dishes. The lighting under the cupboards is sufficient, but a little more light is needed over the sink. We also talked about the fact that a valance would be required to finish the area.

After you left, I was in another unit (212) and noticed that they did in fact have a valance under the cupboard which is directly over the sink. I guess I have to ask why 212 has a valance, and we do not. Was it an oversight, was it forgotten, was it an option, or was it the different style of cupboard.

I would appreciate your checking into this for me for peace of mind. If it was an oversight, maybe when Cartier Kitchens come this Friday to adjust the cupboard doors, they could also install the missing valance. It’s just a suggestion, and I will wait to hear what you suggest.

Thanks, and again thanks for dropping by yesterday.
